The Schroon Lake Inaugural Paddle-Fest

The Adirondacks were made for paddling.

Be a pioneer and join Schroon Lake’s first-ever Paddle-Fest on Saturday, June 22. The Paddle route is from the north end of the Schroon River at the DEC Fishing Access Point on Rt. 74 to the Town Beach in Schroon Lake Village.

Drop, drive, bus, paddle, bus.

Registered participants will drop their vessels at the starting point, the DEC’s Fishing Access Point on Rt 74. They should then drive to the Schroon Lake Boathouse and park their vehicle. Buses will transport paddlers back to the DEC Access Point, where they will then proceed to paddle to Schroon Lake Town Beach.

Register online.

Paddle-Fest includes fun activities for paddlers and spectators,

  • Live music from the Bear Naked Bears playing rock, blues, and folk covers, great Irish songs, and originals from 11 am until 2 pm

  • Food and beverages provided in the Boathouse

  • Local canoe and kayak vendors with boats to test paddle and merch

The Schroon Paddle-Fest aims to celebrate the joy of paddling and introduce more local residents and visitors to the stunning waters within the Schroon Lake Watershed. By creating an involved community working together to preserve the watershed for present and future generations, the partners hope to promote a sustainable approach to enjoying this unique natural resource.
