Part of the Schroon Lake community for over 70 years.

In 1952, Jim and Georgia Flanagan opened Flanagan’s Bar, which stayed in the family for over 30 years. During the 1980s and 90s, the establishment was in the hands of several owners, each adding their mark and augmenting the bar’s offerings.

According to Flanagan’s website, in 1997, Doug King and Penny Edenfield purchased Flanagan’s Bar, the establishment known today as Flanagan’s Pub and Grill. That year, Doug and his crew started with the first of several renovations. They began by remodeling the front exterior of the building, adding a new kitchen and expanding the menu.

Throughout the 2000s, Flanagan’s never stopped continuously improving. The owners added several enhancements to the dining room, adding the local cedar ceiling beams and columns, pine paneling, and expanded dining space. They also added a deck to the rear of the building for customers to enjoy outdoor dining.

But it’s not just a business; Flanagan’s is integral to the Schroon Lake community. The pub participates in local events, sponsors community initiatives, and supports nearby businesses. The commitment to community involvement adds a layer of authenticity to Flanagan's, making it more than just a place to grab a meal or a drink.

Flanagan's Pub & Grill in Scrhoon Lake is a cornerstone of the community. Flanagan's has become a favorite destination for locals and tourists alike with its welcoming atmosphere, tasty menu, craft beverages, and commitment to community involvement.
