Paradox Brewery in North Hudson
Excellent local Adirondack brewery with delicious pizza.
Paradox Brewery is a local favorite in North Hudson. A certified Veteran-owned, it’s an independent craft brewery founded in the heart of the Adirondack Mountains, brewing innovative, high-quality beer.
We also go there for delicious appetizer options, amazing pulled pork sandwiches (especially the Korean style), and the star of Paradox’s menu — pizza.
Initially based in a small shack by Schroon Lake, Paradox upgraded to a new, large space right off Route 9 in North Hudson, NY. Dog-friendly both inside and out, there are plenty of places to sit with large tables inside and out. They also have a large enclosed pavilion that can be rented as an event space.
Check out their diverse selection of beers. We feel confident you’ll find something to love. The draft list sports a variety of classic IPAs, DIPAs, pilsners, and lagers. Beyond that, they offer a great selection of ciders.

The outdoor facilities are ideal for a summer afternoon, with a large Biergarten pavilion allowing you and your group to enjoy the outdoors. During chilly days/nights, get comfortable by the wood fireplaces.
Paradox’s roots trace 40 years back to when its founder, Paul Mrocka, fell in love with beer and brewing in Germany while stationed as an army pilot.
Paradox Brewery has its roots in Germany, where its founder, Paul Mrocka, developed a passion for beer and brewing while serving as an army pilot.
After several decades of brewing for family and friends, Paul's beer became very popular in and around Paradox Lake. Lucky visitors who knew where to find him would hop on their boats and enjoy a beer with Paul. At that time, he was brewing about 200 gallons per year to keep up with the demand for his delicious lake beer.

Like many other food and beverage businesses in the Adirondacks, Paradox Brewery attributes the great taste of its products to the water it uses, which comes from the granite 600 feet below the Adirondack Park. The brewery contends that ADK water is so pure that it requires no filtering or treatment before brewing it with the best malts and hops. The combination of high-quality ingredients and a passion for great beer results in a "Pure Adirondack" product.
Paradox Brewery is a great local spot that has plenty of traffic already but room for more for those who are looking for good beer, a friendly atmosphere, and yummy snacks.
Electronic vehicle charging is available on-site, as well. Check out Paradox’s website for current hours, events, and other information.
