SunderLand Cottages on Paradox Lake
Experience Adirondack lake life in a classic lakefront cottage.
One of the best ways to stay like a local when you’re in the Adirondacks is to rent a cottage or cabin on a lake. If you want more amenities than the typical vacation rental, we recommend staying at one of the myriad properties that offer several cabins and cottages on a lake with a shared beach and numerous recreational activities.
SunderLand Cottages is a perfect example of the rustic charms of staying in a cottage rental property. Located on beautiful Paradox Lake, SunderLand has been owned and operated by the same family for over 70 years.
They offer six cottages, snuggled among pine and birch trees connected by a network of pathways leading to the shores of Paradox Lake in the Gore Mountain and Schroon Lake region of the Adirondacks. Every cabin offers a view of the lake; some are directly on the water’s edge.
The cabins range in size from two to three bedrooms, with different bed configurations (queen, bunks, twins, etc.). Two of the cottages can be combined to accommodate a larger party (five bedrooms total).
All of SunderLand's cottages are fully equipped with private baths, full kitchens, WiFi (mostly), decks or screened-in porches. While some cottages have their own semi-private beach, there is also a common sandy beach for swimming and watersports.
More adventure is right on your doorstep, including hiking, mountain climbing and camping. Fisherpeople can find bass, pike, pickerel, lake trout and perch in Paradox Lake, which is also stocked with rainbow trout. Historic Fort Ticonderoga is less than 45 minutes away. The Village of Schroon Lake is under 10 miles away, with shops, a grocery store, a seasonal movie theater, restaurants and coffee bars.
SunderLand Cottages is a great place to reconnect with family and friends, recharge and relax. For more information, check out their website.
