If it’s hand-rolled bagels, small-batch baked goods, and delicious coffee you crave, look no further than Bear’s Cup in Bolton Landing. Winner of the 2021 Best of Lake George Award for Breakfast, Bear’s Cup is bringing some homebaked goodness to Bolton Landing.
Let’s face it; if you’re a current or former NYC resident, the ADK is pretty much a Bagel Desert. And then the husband/wife duo of Danielle and Louis blew into town and are bringing hand-rolled bagels, made-from-scratch pastries, and other baked goodness to blow our collective minds.
Originally from NJ and Long Island, this couple knows from good bagels. In fact, one of their breakfast sandwiches is called the “201” after the N.J. area code. It features fried eggs, melted cheddar, and Taylor ham, although the N.J. aficionado in our crew says its proper name is “pork roll.” Whatevs. It’s GOOD!
Rumor on the street is that Rachel Ray, who has a home nearby in Lake Luzerne, is a big fan. She featured Bear’s Cup on her show, and she orders regularly to keep her bread box full of yummy bagels.
Bear’s Cup has limited hours in the off-season, so be sure to check out their website, Insta feed, or Facebook page for their latest hours. You can order ahead, but if you don’t, you better come early, or your bagel basket might remain barren.
