The igloo’s are heated for a fun, cozy winter lunch or dinner!
The Barrel is part of the Blue Water Manor complex of lodging and restaurants. It’s their only establishment open in the winter months.
From November to early spring, enjoy The Barrel’s wood-paneled chalet-style restaurant with a cozy, casual, comfortable vibe. Guests can also opt to dine in one of the heated igloos outside.
Like the other Blue Water Manor restaurants, the menu mixes American classics, comfort food and a few german-inspired entrees. Customers rave about the “Build Your Own Mac & Cheese.”
Starting with a base of corkscrew pasta and cheddar cheese, add a variety of fillers, like jalapeno peppers, bacon, and fried onions. But why stop there? Protein add-ins include shrimp, ham, pastrami, short ribs, Italian sausage and chili. Top that with BBQ, buffalo, ranch, gorgonzola or other sauces, and you’ve got a meal.
Other menu items include burgers, flatbreads, salads, schnitzels, meatloaf, and more. There is something for everyone on the menu.
The Barrel is a family-friendly institution. If you’re looking for a satisfying meal after a day of skiing or outdoor adventures, a place to watch the big game over a beer, or enjoy a hot toddy in an igloo, The Barrel’s got you covered.
As noted previously, The Barrel is a seasonal restaurant, so check their FaceBook page for current hours.
