Oscar’s Adirondack Smokehouse in Warrensburg, NY
We’re hog wild for Oscar’s legendary smokehouse at the foot of Hackensack Mountain in the Lake George area.
We’ve come to suspect that guests come to visit us in the ADK not to enjoy our hospitality but for our Oscar’s Adirondack Smokehouse products. That’s right; they are in it for the pork.
Still, who can blame them? Since 1943, the Quintal Family has been producing delicious smoked meats and cheeses and creating legions of loyal fans across the ADK and America.
A full array of tantalizing meats and cheeses smoked on premises.
Our refrigerator and freezer are never without Oscar’s goods. Staples include their breakfast sausage, smoked pork chops, and bacon. At Easter, their ham is on our table. Their Canadian bacon is on our Christmas morning eggs benedict. No Fourth of July is complete without a platter of Oscar’s wursts.
And it’s more than pork products. Oscar’s offers great beef and chicken. This New Year’s Eve, we picked up some very tender and delicious filet mignon that was so great we went back the next weekend for more.
On top of all of that, we go wild for their cheeses. Papa Bear is addicted to Oscar’s Seven-Year-Old XXXX Sharp-Aged Cheddar cheese. Mama Bear goes nuts for the White Horseradish Cheese Spread.
An Adirondack institution that gets better with age while always putting the customer first.
One of the darkest days we can remember in ADK history was in September of 2009 when Oscar’s brick smokehouse, constructed in 1946, was destroyed by fire. Like a giant porcine Phoenix, a new 9,000 square foot building emerged, including “green” upgrades, like geothermal heating and cooling, low energy lighting and special foam insulated exterior walls.
It’s all part of Oscar’s attitude, which you experience when you walk in the door or visit their website. Everything is about the customer. That’s why they’ve thrived for so many years, and their customers are raving fans.
