Enjoy spectacular moonlit views of Lake George.

Hiking under the full Pink Moon in April

April’s Pink Moon rising over the trees.

Experience the magic of the Pink Moon with the Lake George Land Conservancy’s Next Gen Committee.

On Saturday, April 12, they will meet at 6:15 pm at the Pinnacle Preserve parking lot in Bolton Landing before hiking to the summit to witness the 7:34 pm moonrise.

Spring brings the Pink Moon.

April is the time for the full Pink Moon.

The Pink Moon, named for the early spring bloom of wild moss phlox, is a stunning full moon that signals the changing season. To make the most of this celestial event, nature photographer Will Adamczak will lead a special talk on capturing the moon at night.

The group will then enjoy warm drinks, snacks, and moonlit views of Lake George.

Please note this is a rare opportunity. Lake George Land Conservancy (LGLC) preserves are typically closed after dark, and this event is one of the few times guests can experience the Pinnacle under the night sky with special permission from LGLC staff.

Admission is $15, with all proceeds benefiting the Lake George Land Conservancy.

Visit the Lake George Land Conservancy’s website for more information and to register online.
