Set against the backdrop of the Dewey Mountain Recreation Center in Saranac Lake, this peaceful activity invites participants to explore untouched snowy terrains while fully engaging their senses to appreciate the beauty of the outdoors.

As you wander across the soft, sparkling snow under an expansive sky, you’ll hear the gentle crunch of snow beneath your feet, breathe in the invigorating, crisp air, and behold the enchanting sight of frost-covered trees around you.

During this event, your guide will introduce participants to a unique winter outdoor self-care practice. They can expect:

  • Gentle activity on easy terrain (all levels welcome)

  • Focus on sensory exploration, relaxation, and community connection

  • Snowshoe or microspike rentals available (suggested donation: $5 per session)

  • The event takes place in all conditions: snow, rain, or shine

  • In bad weather, indoor nature sensory activities are followed by wild evergreen needle tea
