Step back in time for a historic culinary experience.
Pendragon Theatre’s production for Saranac Lake Winter Carnival 2025
The Warren County Commission for the 250th Anniversary of the American Revolution is hosting a Colonial Dinner.
Enjoy an immersive dining experience featuring a multi-course menu inspired by 18th-century cuisine, served in the historic ambiance of Fort William Henry’s Carriage House.
The Fort William Henry Guide Staff members, dressed in period attire, will share insights into the challenges of feeding soldiers during the Revolutionary era.
To add an extra touch of authenticity, dinner will be officially announced with a musket fire demonstration.
A menu inspired by foods typical of the colonial era.
The menu (subject to change) will include dishes inspired by Colonial cuisine. Typical items might include:

First Course | Colonial Bread, Spoon Bread, Ale Bread, Corn & Potato Chowder, Dried and Cured Meats
Second Course | Fish Stew Cioppino, Shepherd’s Pie with Lamb, Pheasant Cassoulet, Buttered Parsnips, Asparagus Pudding, Pickled Vegetables
Third Course | Blanc Mange, Colonial Orange Cake, Cheese, Nuts, & Dried Fruit
A weekend of events commemorating the 250th Anniversary of the American Revolution.
The evening’s festivities will mark the beginning of the Fort’s “Battles and Beverages” commemoration activities on the weekend of March 21-23. These activities also include reenacting the March 1757 attack on Fort William Henry, known as Vaudreuil’s Raid.
The Reenactment, Sutler Faire and Craft Beverage gathering on March 22 and 23 is a collaborative project of the French and Indian War Society of Lake George and the Fort William Henry Museum, supported by the Lake George Battlefield Park Alliance.

The Faire & Meet will take place on Saturday, March 22, from 9:30 to 5:00, with Battle Reenactments at 11:00 and 1:00.
Guest Speaker Dr. Steven C. Eames will present “Warfare on the Colonial Frontier” at 7:00 PM at the Fort William Henry Conference Center. The Saturday events are open to the public at the Fort William Henry Museum.
