Experience the Beauty of Adirondack Farms on Thurman’s Fall Farm Tour
Tour local farms. Grow your appreciation for ADK agriculture through informative talks, food events, a visit to an animal sanctuary, wagon rides, and take-home local products.
Great events don’t have to be huge affairs with live music, fireworks, bouncy houses and a 5K race. Some of our favorite events are those that take us to places we wouldn’t normally visit to enjoy new experiences or find hidden treasures.
That’s the case for us with Thurman’s Fall Farm Tour.
Showcasing small farms, ADK artisans, and food producers.
The Thurman Fall Farm Tour is an excellent chance to explore a variety of sites promoting sustainable farming and forestry, including maple producers, sanctuaries, a tree farm, a lumber mill, and a goat and sheep farm. This self-guided tour offers a unique experience with the opportunity to visit farms that have been around for over 200 years or those that are using tech to reinvigorate classic agricultural arts.
Visitors can enjoy various activities, including tractor hay rides, animal encounters, and children's activities.
Additionally, guests may shop for products such as cheeses, jams, jellies, quilts, organic vegetables, meats, and artisan wares. Learn about sugaring, mushrooms, medicinal plants, and more.
How to find Thurman Fall Farm Tour sites.
Locations on the Fall Farm Tour are open from 10 am to 4 pm. As you drive into Thurman on Route 418 (Thurman Station area), Route 28 (The Glen) or South Johnsburg Rd. (county route 57), look at various intersections for Thurman Fall Farm Tour signposts with arrows directing you to each of our unique sites.
