The Wild Center Hosts Climate Week Events

Alternative energy is a topic at The Wild Center's Climate Week.

In conjunction with Climate Week NYC, The Wild Center in Tupper Lake will host The Wild Center Climate Week from Sunday, September 22, through Saturday, September 28, 2024.

Throughout the week, The Wild Center offers educational and programming opportunities, which are included with your general admission ticket.

Join Climate Week events at The Wild Center in Tupper Lake.

The Wild Center welcomes guests every day to participate in an interactive drop-in activity centered around wind turbines. Explore how these renewable energy sources function and their significance in sustainable power.

Attendees will construct and experiment with miniature windmills, gaining insights into energy generation and the significance of clean energy solutions. This activity is suitable for all ages.

Take a Sustainability Walk.

Sustainability lies at the heart of The Wild Center. From its beginning, the museum has wholeheartedly adopted innovative construction methods and environmentally friendly principles.

During Climate Week, visitors can embark on a 45-minute outdoor walk and immerse themselves in the marvels of environmental design. They will be expertly guided through The Wild Center’s cutting-edge LEED-certified building and campus, gaining insight into the elements that underpin its sustainable approach.

North Country Drive Electric Expo on Saturday, September 28.

National Drive Electric Week is from September 27 through October 6. To kick things off, The Wild Center will host the North Country Drive Electric Expo on Saturday, September 28. This is an excellent opportunity to learn about the many benefits of all-electric and plug-in hybrid cars, trucks, motorcycles, and more.

The Wild Center anticipates a wide variety of all-electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles, including SUVs, pickup trucks, and E-bikes, will be on display. Exhibitors will be on-site demonstrating all things electric.
