The Queensbury Hotel is a gem in Glens Falls. In 1924, local business people, corporate stalwarts like Finch-Pruyn and Glens Falls Insurance, and civic leadership collaborated to raise funds to build a first-class hotel that would attract visitors and businesses to the area. They raised $760K for the endeavor, which would have been worth almost $10.5 million in today’s dollars.

The hotel opened in 1926, and the rest was history. Famous guests include Bob Dylan, Louis Armstrong, Kenny Rogers, Kenny Anderson, Joe Frazier, and Jackie Robinson. Benny Goodman and Guy Lombardo performed in the hotel's Ballroom.

The hotel expanded to add more rooms, event spaces, and an indoor swimming pool.

Today, the hotel has been completely rejuvenated by a head-to-toe refurbishment over the past several years, including one of our favorite spots to dine and cocktail, Fenimore’s Pub.
