In operation for over 130 years, the Irondequoit has a fascinating story. We highly recommend reading a recent article about the Inn in Adirondack Life Magazine that does an excellent job telling the property’s story.

A range of lodging options to suit guests’ preferences.

The charming country inn has undergone $1.4 million in renovations. Guests can choose to stay in one of nine bedrooms. All have private bathrooms except one room, a bunk bed room that adjoins one of the King Suites.

Each room is individually and tastefully decorated (no Adiron-tacky here), with beautiful wide-planked wooden floors and lots of natural light and air. Try to book one of the rooms with stunning views of the Lake. No TVs or phones in the rooms, but the inn has high-speed fiber optic wifi.

For guests staying in the Inn, a delicious home-cooked buffet breakfast is included daily. They also have access to two spacious and comfortable living rooms with authentic Stickley furniture and comfy couches perfect for lounging. Or they can find a nook to play board games, read a book or do a puzzle,

Cozy cabins or classic camping.

Craving the charm and comfort of a private cabin? Irondequoit Inn offers five cabins that rent for a week or more. All cabins feature two bedrooms and sleep up to six people. They come complete with a galley-style kitchen. The cabins allow visitors to truly “unplug” – there is no TV, phone or internet.

And if you crave an even more down-to-earth adventure, rent one of the traditional wooded campsites near the Irondiquoit’s western lakeshore or if you want to be closer to the water, choose a spot near the beach.

There are firepits and grills for the use of property guests. Campers have access to his and hers bathroom/shower facilities, as well as an outdoor laundry tub.

Year-round activities to suit all types of weather.

There is plenty to do on the property, from fishing and watersports to tennis and nearby hiking and biking. Kayaks and canoes are available. Guests can visit the Inn’s private island just ½ mile off-shore.

While most guests prefer to enjoy the beautiful Adirondack nature, when the weather doesn’t cooperate, there is a game room with foosball, ping pong, arcade-style basketball and air hockey.

Guests can also enjoy the music room with a piano or select a volume from the Inn’s lending library.

Winter guests are close to skiing and other outdoor winter activities like snowmobiling, snowshoeing, and ice fishing.

The Irondequoit Inn is the perfect place to experience the Adirondacks in many ways as vacationers did 100 years ago, just with better plumbing and wifi in the Inn and without the three-day trek to the woods to get there.
