Raquette Lake Winter Carnival

Plenty of fun is on the agenda in the Central Adirondacks at Raquette Lake’s Winter Carnival and Rough Raquette snowshoe race.

Raquette Lake is the place to be on Presidents Day weekend with a full roster of winter carnival events. Visitors can expect various games for the Lil’ ADKers, including an obstacle course, sack races, sledding and more.

No Adirondack winter carnival is complete without all-day bonfires, activities like skating and ice golf, and Ladies’ Frying Pan Toss.

On Sunday at noon, it’s the Timed Cross-cut and chainsaw competition. Competitors are welcome.

The race will start on the ice approximately ¼ mile from the village. Be sure to allow time to get to the starting area after arrival. The 1-mile fun run and 5K run concurrently and share the same course for the first ½ mile. Loaner snowshoes will not be available.
