Lake Placid Community Day Promises Free Fun for Everyone

Lake Placid Community Day is an annual celebration that features music, food, beverages, and fun — and it's totally free.

This annual event celebrates the Lake Placid community and all the hard work that goes into preserving the town’s legacy. Organizers hope to continue to foster volunteer spirit so it will be passed on to future generations.

Lake Placid Community Day spotlights the area’s service and not-for-profit organizations. It’s an excellent opportunity to welcome new members to the community and introduce them to the many opportunities to participate in village life.

Highlights include:

• Music from Big Boss Sausage

• Face painting

• Games and prizes

• Ben & Jerry’s will serve their new Mango Ice Cream and non-dairy frozen treats

• Superhero Dance Party for Lil’ ADKers (wear your costume!)

• “Out of this world” experiences with the Lake Placid Public Library

• Scotto the Balloon Wizard
