Fern Park in Inlet, NY, is the site of the 22nd Annual Frozen Fire & Lights Festival. This long-running festival draws families and friends from across the Adirondack Park.

This is one winter celebration you don’t want to miss. It takes place on the last Saturday of February and is filled with super fun activities and events. This Fire & Lights Festival is a great opportunity to celebrate the beauty of Inlet’s Fern Park, which offers many miles of snowshoeing trails, cross-country skiing trails, a sled hill, and an enclosed ice skating rink - all of which are free of charge (our favorite four-letter word).

The current timetable for Frozen Fire and Lights in Inlet is below.

  • All day — Cross-Country Skiing, Snowshoeing, Free Rink for Ice Skating, Free Hill for Sledding at Fern Park

  • 8 am — Free Pancake Breakfast

  • 8 am — Inlet Community Church & Rummage Sale (proceeds support the Tapestries of Life Mexico Orphanage work)

  • 10 am — King and Queen Coronation at Legion Square (near Inlet Town Hall) 2024 - Gina Greco & Kyle O’Connor are this year’s royalty

  • 10 am to 12 pm — Noah’s Ark Animal Workshop at Inlet Town Hall. Proceeds benefit the Inlet Youth Commission

  • 10 am to 2 pm — Book Sale & Free Kite Pickup (Preregistered Kites Only) at Inlet Public Library

  • 1 pm — Free Cardboard Sled Race at Fern Park

  • 2-5 pm — Free Wine Tasting at Fourth Lake Wine & Spirits

  • 2:30-3:30 pm — Free Kite Decorating & Flying at The Woods Inn

  • 3:30 pm — Outhouse Races at The Woods Inn

  • 5 pm — Bonfire at Arrowhead Park with free hot dogs & complimentary hot beverages

  • 7 pm — Fireworks at Arrowhead Park

  • 7:30 pm — Free Sampling at Screamen Eagle
