1759 Battle on Snowshoes Reenactment at Fort Ticonderoga
Experience the drama of a colonial-era battle fought during the French and Indian War in the Adirondacks.
Robert Rogers and his Rangers return to historic Fort Ticonderoga on Lake Champlain, Saturday, March 9, 2024 for the Battle on Snowshoes reenactment. The event vividly recreates the final winter battle fought by a scout of Haudenosaunee Warriors, British Regulars, and Rogers’ Rangers against the French garrison of soldiers, Canadians and Native American warriors at Fort Ticonderoga on March 7, 1759.
The Battle on Snowshoes event is designed to be a rich experience for guests of all ages as they explore the dramatic wilderness warfare in the final battle on snowshoes in 1759. Planned events and demonstrations include:

Battle Briefing: A must-attend presentation on the battle
