Build Your Sled for Chestertown’s Krazy Downhill Derby
Get ready for greatness and construct your winning entry for the Town of Chester’s Downhill Derby.
Chestertown’s annual Krazy Downhill Derby is one of the highlights of the winter season. And Lil’ ADKers are welcome to get in on the action.
The big event is on Saturday, February 23, 2024, so the North Warren PTO is sponsoring a Build Your Cardboard Sled event on Wednesday, February 21, at the Dynamite Hill Warming Hut in Chestertown.
The North Warren PTO provides materials free of charge — boxes, tape, markers, etc. Participants are encouraged to bring their own supplies, too. Lil’ ADKers are known to be a Klever Krew, so we’re sure they’ll have plenty of Kreative ideas for their Derby-winning Kardboard Konveyance (okay, that was some award-winning alliteration and right there).
The workshop is from Noon to 2 pm downstairs at the Dynamite Hill Warming Hut on Dynamite Hill Road off Route 8, less than a mile west of the North Warren Central School.
We can’t wait to see what those awesome Lil’ ADKers come up with!
