Celebrating Adirondack Great Camp Architecture

Visit Raquette Lake August 4-6 to honor William Durant, the father of the ADK Great Camp style.

Raquette Lake’s Echo Camp bears William West Durant's influence. Its main buildings were nearly identical to those of two nearby camps built in 1880, Camp Fairview and The Cedars.

If you’re an enthusiast of Great Camp style, you won’t want to miss this weekend-long celebration honoring William West Durant, the originator of Great Camp design and architecture.

Weekend events include boat tours of Raquette Lake aboard the WW Durant, the opportunity to explore historic Great Camps, Vespers service at St. Hubert's, the annual Raquette Lake Boat parade, and fireworks.
