“When you wake up in the morning, Pooh,” said Piglet at last, “What's the first thing you say to yourself?”

“What's for breakfast?” said Pooh.

For some people, the best food starts and ends with breakfast. Whether you like it sweet or savory, it’s hard to argue that breakfast, when prepared right, might be the best meal of the day.

That’s something the good people at The Breakfast Club, etc., in Lake Placid, understand intrinsically. They’ve crafted a menu featuring the best of what breakfast has to offer:

  • Several types of eggs benedict, including crab cake, salmon, and veggie

  • A variety of egg sandwiches

  • All the traditional egg dishes

  • An array of röstis, seasoned home-fried potatoes in a cast iron skillet, with sour cream, eggs and other toppings like bacon, cheese, corned beef, and veggies. You get the picture.

  • Biscuits and gravy.

  • All the griddle foods.

  • Smoothie bowls

  • Breakfast baked goods

The menu also includes non-breakfast fare, such as salads, sandwiches, and burgers. But why?

The Breakfast Club makes some of the best Bloody Marys inside the blue line, with many variations, including a Bacon Mary, Asian Mary, Highland Mary and Mexican Maria.

The mimosas are all concocted with house-made fruit purees. What better way to get your vitamins than with a traditional OJ-based mimosa or fresh grapefruit, blueberry pomegranate, or pineapple sunrise. And if you’re feeling like a baller, order the million-dollar mimosa, a bottle of Dom Perignon, three ounces of Louis XIII Cognac, and a carafe of fresh-squeezed orange juice. We will however look over at you disapprovingly
