Congratulations, Nettle Meadow!

ADK cheesemaker scores a three-peat at the National Good Food Awards.

Congratulations to Nettle Meadow Farm and Cheese Company in the southern ADK for winning a third Good Food Award for their delectable Kunik cheese. Made from goat's milk and cow's cream, Kunik is considered one of the best cheeses in the world.

Celebrating food products that showcase superior craftsmanship, deliver exceptional flavor and outstanding taste from food producers who demonstrate social and environmental responsibility, the Good Food Awards are awarded annually over an epic three-day weekend, hosted by the Good Food Foundation. It’s an excellent opportunity for the public and the trade to meet, celebrate, taste and buy from the nearly 200 winners. Food producers submitted over 2,000 entries from all 50 states in this year's competition. The Awards Weekend and Festival events were held earlier this month in San Francisco.

How lucky are we that this fantastic cheese (and other delectable cheeses) is available in the ADK? If you haven't sampled Nettle Meadow's fabulous fromage, we highly recommend visiting their tasting room and retail shop outside of Lake Luzerne. Or, if you're keen to see the source of their cheesy deliciousness, take a ride over to their farm and animal sanctuary.
