Every winter, travelers visit this magical winter experience at Tupper Lake’s renowned Wild Center. This annual exhibition transforms the Wild Center's campus into a dazzling wonderland of light and sound, perfect for families and visitors of all ages.
On Thursday, January 18, at 7 pm (ET), the Adirondack Center for Loon Conservation presents “25 Years of Loon Conservation Studies” with Lucas Savoy of the Biodiversity Research Institute. During this informative discussion, Mr. Savoy will share insights, observations, and conservation of the common loon.
Adirondack Brewery’s Funky Ice Fest is back again for two weekends in January. Get ready to shake your rump roast on Friday and Saturday at this family-friendly event in Lake George Village.
Fort William Henry Resort will host its annual Polar Ice Bar this weekend and next on its terrace overlooking Lake George, featuring ice sculptures, live music, cocktails, and warm snacks. The bar is open from Friday to Sunday.
Enjoy an outdoor cocktail lounge made entirely of ice — the bar, barstools, tables, chairs and even sofas. It takes over 50,000 pounds to make the frozen magic happen. The entire Terrace will be transformed into a Circus-themed winter wonderland this weekend and next.
The latest addition to the Lake George ice bar scene, The Gem’s Ice Lounge, is back for its second year with a northern winter wonderland theme. Unique to this ice lounge is a live ice diamond carving.

The Adirondack Tour de Ski will be at Dewey Mountain Recreation Center for Saturday Night Sprints. The Tour de Ski is an exciting ski race series comprised of races at six venues, with multiple distances, and takes place from now through March 2024. Ski one or ski them all.
The North Creek Ski Bowl hosts fun Nordic skiing and snowshoe racing in January and February on the professionally groomed Stadium Course under the lights.
