American Celtic Music in the Adirondacks

Just in time for St. Patrick’s Day, enjoy a lively musical performance at Tannery Pond Center.

The McKrells bring their blend of Irish American to Tannery Pond Center on March 10.

The McKrells, a 6-piece band, deliver a unique musical experience that draws on bluegrass, folk music, and world music percussion. They will perform live on March 10 at Tannery Pond Center in North Creek, NY.

The band uses traditional bluegrass instruments such as guitar, banjo, fiddle, and bass, but Kevin McKrell's original songs give them their heart and soul.

Bluegrass Unlimited described TheMcKrell's sound as "brisk as wild ponies in a roundup and as tight as thread on a spool." Kevin McKrell’s vocals are powerful, mixing "madman's fervor and a lover's tenderness." Critics compare his songwriting to the legendary John Prine, with insightful lyrics and effortless musicality.

While The McKrells draw on bluegrass influences, they are not a traditional "suits-and-tie" bluegrass band. Their music has a lilt to the tunes, a bouncing drive to the melodies, and a melancholy touch reflecting their Celtic folk persona.

The McKrell’s passionate vocals, razor-sharp harmonies, and fiery picking make for hot acoustic music that sets them apart from other folk and bluegrass bands touring the country. Their appearance on March 10 at Tannery Pond Center is the perfect opportunity to get into the spirit for the upcoming St. Patrick's Day holiday.
