Saranac Lake’s Winter Carnival: Events for Sunday, February 4.

The Adirondack Winter fun continues with downhill ski races, BBQ, skating on Lake Colby, a bike parade and FlowerBall.

Enjoy another great family fun day during Saranac Lake’s Annual Winter Carnival on Sunday, February 4, 2024. Every February, for 10 days, Saranac Lake in the Tri-Lakes and High-Peaks region of New York State’s Adirondack Park transforms into a magical winter wonderland. The town puts on a variety of fun-filled winter activities for the whole family to enjoy.

The day will be filled with fun, family-friendly outdoor and indoor events. Highlights include:

• Wheel-a-palooza — a bathing suit-clad round-the-town bike ride

• Skating activities and drag races for skates and kicks sleds on Lake Colby

• Downhill ski races and Arctic BBQ at Mt. Pisgah

• FlowerBall — a cross between shuffleboard and curling, and a whole lotta fun

This year's Saranac Lake Winter Carnival theme is "Creepy Carnival." The event will feature family-friendly Halloween-inspired activities in the Adirondack village of Saranac Lake.

All Day Clue Hunt — Can you solve the clues to navigate your way through town? Available 24/7 outside the History Hut and Gift Shop near the Ice Palace every day of the carnival.

10 am - 6 pm Winter Carnival History Hut and Gift Shop — Learn about Winter Carnival and shop for Official 2024 Carnival Merchandise (Winter Carnival History Hut near the Ice Palace) 

Arctic Golf at Saranac Lake’s Winter Carnival

10 am - 3 pm Edward Jones Arctic Golf (Prescott Park next to the State Boat Launch)

10 am - 3 pm Skate Lake Colby sponsored by Adirondack Health — Skating Demos, Free Skate, Straight Line Drag Races for Ice Skates and Kick Sleds 2 pm to 3 pm. (Beach at Lake Colby)

10 am *White Stag Downhill Ski Races (Mt. Pisgah Ski Center, 92 Mt. Pisgah Lane, $)

11 am *Arctic Bar-B-Que — Friends of Mt. Pisgah (Mt. Pisgah Ski Center, Mt. Pisgah Lane, $)

1:00 pm The Blue Buns Wheel-a-Palooza, a bathing suit-clad round-the-town bike ride (Ice Palace, State Boat Launch)

2:30 pm Adirondack Lakes and Trails Outfitters FlowerBall (Lake Flower near the Ice Palace)
