Ski, Bike and Paddle in Saranac Lake’s Latest Challenge

Mt. Pisgah

Test your mettle in the ultimate winter adventure race on Saturday, March 4, near beautiful Saranac Lake. The Saranac Lake 3P — which stands for Pole/Pedal/Paddle — is an extraordinary event for experiencing all the ADK has to offer. The race was organized for competitors to enter individually or in teams, but either way, to have FUN.

Race participants will climb, ski/snowboard, bike and paddle around Saranac Lake, located in the beautiful Adirondack Mountains of upstate New York. The 13-mile epic course starts and ends at Mt Pisgah.

The event starts with skinning or snowshoeing uphill (no ski lift for you!) at Mt. Pisgah and then making their way down by skiing or shredding the gnar on a snowboard.

The next leg of the races consists of contestants pedaling their well-toned fannies off to Dewey Mountain. They will strap on the Nordic skis at Dewey and take two loops on groomed trails. And then it’s back on the bike to the Saranac River, where racers will paddle down to the Saranac Lake Fish and Game Club. Hopping out of their watercraft, they will return to where all the fun started at Mt. Pisgah.

Phew. We’re exhilarated just thinking about it.

Check out the event website for all the details on the course.

All competitors will be rewarded for completing this chilly challenge with a celebratory after-party and more fun than ever thought possible during early March.
