High Peaks Bluegrass Band Graces the Stage at Tannery Pond Center in North Creek

Join the High Peaks Bluegrass Band on Sunday, March 12, in North Creek at the Tannery Pond Center for another musical chapter of their Winter Coffeehouse series.

High Peaks Bluegrass Band is comprised of four gentlemen pickin’ and a-grinnin’ as they play sweet-sounding bluegrass for adoring crowds.

As one commentator recently noted, the band’s perfect blend of classic bluegrass, newgrass, old-time and gospel offerings shines with smooth harmonies and carefully crafted arrangements. Guitarist and vocalist Tom Behan is one of the finest flatpickers you will see in the ADK. Jeff Anderson, on mandolin, has a vocal range that gives the band wide latitude and tight harmonies. Walt Kirby's Scruggs-style banjo picking fills the music with the energy and bright sound for which this genre is known. Kirby also plays guitar and sings. Bassist Stephen Butler has a distinct, ringing “preacher” voice for naturally gospel-based songs.

Purchase tickets and get more info about the show on Tannery Pond Center’s website.

This event is underwritten by the Glenn and Carol Pearsall Adirondack Foundation, “Dedicated to improving the quality of life for year-round residents of the Adirondack Park”.
