The historic Carol Theatre in the heart of Chestertown, NY, in the Gore Mountain region of the Adirondacks.
Kick off the 2024 summer concert season with a double act featuring The Lazy Suns and the Bluebillies at the historic Carol Theatre in quaint Chestertown, NY. Enjoy a night of country rock and bluegrass. This double act will have you rocking and singing along.
The Lazy Suns formed in 2010 in upstate NY and are two-time Capital District Eddie Award nominees for best Americana Country Rock group. Discovery Channel's own "Deadliest Catch" & Nat Geo's "The Yard" have featured their original music. The Lazy Suns have been on regular rotation on WEXT Radio, the Capital District’s listener-supported roots and rock radio station.

The band is a throwback to the early days of country rock, ala The Flying Burrito Brothers, The Byrds, The Eagles, John Prine, Guy Clark, and Townes Van Zandt, to name a few, with a country rock flare all their own.
Opening for such acts as Aaron Lewis of Staind and critically acclaimed for their original songs on multiple Emmy award-winning TV shows, they will surely entertain all.
The Bluebillies don't just sing country songs; they embody them, performing their unique blend of country, bluegrass and folk music with traditional style, sound and spirit.
The husband-and-wife team, Mark and Melody Guarino, have been singing together since 1984 when they first made it their mission to help revive and preserve the rich heritage of this significant and uniquely American art form. With the addition of Frank Orsini on fiddle and guitarist Greg Bucking, The Bluebillies were complete and now perform together with all the joy and simpatico that only a “family” band can produce.
