Filmmakers and cinema enthusiasts flock to Lake Placid for four days of outstanding films from October 26th through October 29th. The festival showcases the latest independent films worth watching right now. Among the recent releases is "The Stones and Brian Jones," a new documentary directed by Nick Broomfield that uncovers the true story and legacy of Brian Jones, the founder and lost creative genius of The Rolling Stones.
Join an experienced teller of ghost stories for a twilight stroll through the historic ruins of Fort St. Frederic and His Majesty's Fort at Crown Point. Listen to tales of drownings, shadowy figures lurking in the barracks, and rumored sea monster sightings.

Fall foliage season may be ending, but there are still great activities in store in November in the Adirondacks.

New York State Free Fishing Day — November 11. NYS residents and non-residents can fish freely, unfettered by a freshwater fishing license.
