Cheesemaking: Chevre, Valencay & Crottin

  • Adirondack Folk School 51 Main Street Lake Luzerne, NY, 12846 United States (map)

Here’s your chance to learn to be an artisanal cheesemonger. Spend a day at the Adirondack Folk School. This workshop teaches you to make your own cultures rather than those produced in a lab. In addition to cheese, participants will learn to make yogurt and cultured butter.

The class is a combination of lecture, demonstration and hands-on practice. All products are made with organic, grass-fed, raw milk. If you can, purchase and read “The Art of Natural Cheesemaking” by David Asher before taking the class.

For more information, including class fees, visit the Adirondack Folk School website.
