Enjoy the Nutcracker in the Adirondacks

Lake Placid Center for the Arts Presents the holiday classic on December 2-3 at the Strand Center in Plattsburgh.

Attending a performance of Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker ballet is an enchanting and unforgettable holiday experience. The timeless story of a young girl and her beloved Nutcracker doll, brought to life by the magic of the season, is a true classic that captures the hearts and imaginations of audiences of all ages.

The Nutcracker is a captivating performance that appeals to all senses. With its stunning costumes, intricate choreography, and beautiful music, it fills everyone with wonder and joy.

On Christmas Eve, Clara receives a unique gift from her godfather - a nutcracker. However, a series of unfortunate events leads to her being amazed when the Nutcracker comes to life. This marks the start of a magical adventure that includes a grand battle between toy soldiers and mice, a giant Christmas tree, an evil Mouse Queen, the Kingdom of Snow, the beautiful Snow Queen, the Land of Sweets, Mother Ginger, and her Gingersnaps, and, of course, the Sugar Plum Fairy and her Cavalier.

The production features dancers from all over the North Country. Don’t miss this year’s full two-hour production. Enjoy performances at 1 pm on Saturday, December 2 and Sunday, December 3.
