Enjoy a Gilded Age Snow Day at Great Camp Sagamore

What’s better than a snow day? A snow day at an authentic Adirondack Great Camp. Great Camp Sagamore, just outside the village of Raquette Lake, is hosting its second snow day of 2024 on February 24, 2024. The first Snow Day is on January 27.
Typically, Sagamore is closed to the public during winter, but they are opening up their doors to invite the community for some wintertime fun.
Sagamore was first listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976. It was then designated as a National Historic Landmark in 2000.*

Some important details (pay attention!).
Bring your own gear (snowshoes, skis, sleds, etc.). Sagamore does not provide equipment.
Food and beverages (chili, coffee, tea and hot chocolate) will be available at noon while supplies last.
Not all buildings will be open to the public. Collins and Playhouse are the only ones that will be open.
ALL-WHEEL DRIVE or snow tires are recommended. Great Camp Sagamore is located 4 miles down a dirt road with steep and curvy hills.
