Lake George Winter Carnival’s Final Weekend is Packed With Fun for the Entire Family

The action doesn’t let up as we head into the Lake George Winter Carnival’s final weekend. Activities on Saturday, February 25 include ATV races and a Chicken Wing Contest. Check the Lake George Winter Carnival Facebook page for the latest news, information, and any schedule changes.

All Day — Bonfire on the Beach

Horse-Drawn Carriage/Sleigh Rides With Time to Remember — On Canada Street. There is a free. Call Tina for info at 518.321.5539.

9 am ATV Races on the Lake — This event is ice dependent. Please check the Lake George Winter Carnival Facebook page for cancellations or location changes.

Noon Cornhole Games — Grab some friends and head out for a game or two of cornhole. Hosted by Blue Thirty-Two (518.685.3539).

Noon to 3 pm Children's Activities — Various arts and crafts and games to occupy the Lil ADKers At Shepard Park, and additional locations are to be announced.

Noon to 3 pm Pony Rides — Located in Shepard Park. There is a fee.

12:30 pm Chicken Wing Cook-off — Lake George restaurants voted and have chosen wings for the last cook-off of the season. You're not going to want to miss this one! At the Shepard Park Amphitheater. Don’t get left in the cold; Purchase your tickets online ahead of time.

2 pm to 4 pm: Make Your Own Snow Tie-Dyed LGWC Tee-Shirts — A family favorite, create a tie-dyed T-shirt using Lake George snow. There is a fee. While supplies and snow last! At the Souvenir Tent in Shepard Park.

2:30 pm Lake George Dog's Got Talent Contest
Something for all the furry friends! Enter your dog in this LGWC crowd favorite. Prizes for those that get the most APAWS. Hosted by the Dog Cabin.

3 pm Polar Plunge — Held each weekend of the LGWC, the Polar Plunge challenges you to dive into the frigid waters of Lake George. Think you can handle it? If so, register, and don't forget your camera and towel. Plunge and registration are held at the Souvenir Tent in Shepard Park. Or, save time and register ahead of time.

5:30 pm Until Gone: S'mores in the Park — Come and enjoy tasty s'mores while keeping warm by the fire! All are welcome. Free at the Shepard Park Amphitheater. Sponsored by Northern Living.

5:30 pm Until Gone: Hot Chocolate Bar — Co-sponsored by Fort William Henry Hotel, the Hot Chocolate Bar has become an LGWC must-do. Not only do you get a souvenir mug, but you also get to put all your favorite toppings on your hot chocolate. There is a mug presale option online. Only a limited number of mugs will be available for sale on the day of the event. 

7 pm Fireworks by SantoreFew sights are more spectacular than fireworks over Lake George. Winter fireworks are a special treat. Santore has been in creating spectacular fireworks displays in the U.S. for over 120 years. The Santore fireworks dynasty began in Italy in 1860. After moving to America in 1890, they have a proud history of creating some of the most memorable fireworks displays at famous events and locations, including Daytona International Speedway, Sea World Orlando, Sea World San Antonio, Busch Gardens Tampa, Busch Gardens Williamsburg, World Golf Village, and Walt Disney World. Don’t miss this beautiful display.
