Plattsburgh is the site for the annual Mayor’s Cup Regatta and Festival on Saturday, July 6 and 7. The 2024 Mayor's Cup Regatta will take place on Saturday, July 6, and the Valcour Race on Sunday, July 7, 2024. Both races are part of the LCCS Championship Series, this highly-anticipated event features fun for the entire family.

The competition begins Saturday morning with races in three divisions — Cruising, Racing, and Multihull — on spectacular Lake Champlain, once designated as a Great Lake. For 18 days. But that’s another story.

In addition to the Regatta and Valcour Race, the Mayor’s Cup Festival offers two days of fun diversions for everyone, including kayak rides, a 5K run/walk, volleyball, sand sculpting, live music, food, Stewart’s Ice Cream, a giant coloring mural sponsored by Price Chopper and more.
