Northern NY Audubon Hosts a Guided Birding Walk at Historic Crown Point

Remains of the fort at Crown Point Historic Site.

Co-sponsored by Northern NY Audubon and Champlain Area Trails (CATS), Stacy Robinson will lead a guided bird walk at Crown Point Historic Site on stunning Lake Champlain.

Crown Point State Historic Site (SHS) has recorded observations of over 230 species. Due to its diverse habitats and breeding bird populations, it is designated an Important Birding Area (IBA).

The walk will last approximately 3-4 hours and cover roughly 2 miles. Pre-registration is required, and the event is limited to 12 participants.

To register, email Stacy Robinson at maplemeadows@hotmail.com

This is a morning walk in May, so dress accordingly. Please wear comfortable shoes and bring insect repellent and binoculars. A spotting scope is optional, but the organizers will have a couple we can share. Bring snacks and water if you desire.
