Preview Artists & Inspirations in the Wild Exhibition

The ADKX will offer a virtual sneak peek of the museum’s newest experience.

Join the Adirondack Experience staff and members of the project construction team for a behind-the-scenes peek inside the new Artists & Inspiration in the Wild exhibition. They will take participants on a virtual tour of their newest permanent exhibit.

Artists & Inspiration in the Wild is the most comprehensive showing of the museum’s art and decorative collections in the entirety of its history. Artists & Inspiration’s four main galleries will illustrate how the natural features of the Adirondacks—light, forests, water, and mountains—have sparked the creative visions of painters, sculptors, and expert artisans. In this exhibit, Adirondack style, an artistic tradition unique to this region, will be celebrated. Today and over hundreds of years, the sense of place conveyed through artistic traditions defines what the Adirondacks are for most people, both locally and across the globe.

We are super excited about this exhibit and to get a sneak preview of the new space. The ADKX does everything in a high-quality way. We know this will be yet another example of how they are preserving, documenting and exhibiting the rich history and traditions of the Adirondacks for generations to come.
